About us – JDH Property services was formed in 2002 and we have at our disposal over 30 years experience in the building industry. Thanks to good local connections we can access all essential trades easily- masons, plasterers, plumbers, electricians and decorators to name just a few. Our reputation in the local community has grown over time, with many happy customers to our name, and a steady flow of positive comments on our work from local tradesmen
Our scope – We are able to provide our services for any residential or small commercial premises. We are experienced in all forms of maintenance and repair encountered on walls, roofs and interiors whether made from stone, block, brick, timber or cob. We carry out general interior and exterior carpentry and fit kitchens and bathrooms. On a larger scale we can carry out complete builds from garages and extensions to new builds.
Our service – We offer a comprehensive service to encompass everything your project requires. We can source all materials and arrange waste disposal, and provide cleaners where appropriate. We arrange all qualified tradesmen needed for the job, which is especially important for your piece of mind if any plumbing or wiring is involved. For larger projects we can create designs with you, draw up plans and deal with the building and planning authorities on your behalf. We can price work by a pre-agreed total, by day-rate agreement or in incremental phases – whichever you feel is best, it will be clearly set out in print so you know exactly where you stand.
Our speciality – Everybody has their speciality and ours is carpentry. We do fit prefabricated kitchens and laminate floors, but we can also transform your home with solid wood floors, shelving and features, and a handcrafted solid timber kitchen. Most people assume that bespoke kitchens are out of their reach, but you'll be pleasantly surprised that we can build you a solid timber kitchen for the fraction of the cost of using bespoke kitchen companies, many of whom use chipboard carcasses. Our top range kitchens are made from hardwood frames, marine ply inners and select timber worktops, all held together with stainless steel fixings and if our low prices are still beyond your budget, then we can ‘down-design' your kitchen to use cheaper materials and components until you can afford it.
Our philosophy – We aim to meet your ideas wherever possible, or otherwise come up with a way of adapting them to make them possible. We want to ensure that you are satisfied with every stage of the project, and will endeavour to give you the best deal we possibly can. We believe in supporting the local economy, and source all labour used on our sites locally. Our materials are also sourced as locally as possible – the decking we use is grown on the edge of Dartmoor, and much of the hardwoods we use originate from the Dartmoor and North Cornwall area. We are careful to use timbers from properly managed renewable forestries, and aim for longevity in everything we build with a mind to reducing wastage.
